MORE INFORMATION:

Boris Jean Lacroix (1902-84) was a French architect and designer, who is particularly known for his lighting designs. This modular tea set design is rare, with only one other example known to exist. The other example features ebony handles as opposed to painted wood. It is likely that the tea set was made to order and never went into production. The design first was presented at the 22nd Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, Paris, 1932.
